  1. Steel and steel is not the same. Iron makes the largest part, but there is also other metal or non metal stuff added , for making steel for different use. But i do not know if ship armor steel is good for producing other products. When about 25 years ago large numbers of tanks where taken out of use, i read that the tanksrmor steelmix is not so useable in civilian context.
