@tictac2therevenge291 : In 1682 (83?) and 1796 the german village i live, about 30km east of Stuttgart was attacked by french troops. So please look into the mirror. The French etc. , allways forgett, that the german hate against France did not come ,out of the nothing'. Do some research about Richelieu, Louis XlV or Napoleon l, what funny things they did in Germany, in case of Louis XlV especially in Palatinate, Rhine Valley and parts of Black Forrest. Also compare France and ,Germany' of the noted era. It seems french and other nongermans forget, that France in this time was a united country with a centralised administration and the strongest european ground army and the second or third strong Fleet. ,Germany' had no Fleet, was divided into more than 300 Reichsstände with Seat in diet/ parlament and lots of territories without seat. Only Prussia, Austria could mobilize large armies, to lower level Bavaria, Saxony and Hannover. In military district Swabia/ Schwaben next to France on right bank of Rhine there had been 100 souvereign states in an area between Rhine , Lech, Lake of Constance and a line from Northern end of Black Forrest eastwards. The , Reichs' territories not included ( mostly Imperial Knights, but also independent villages, valleys ( Oberharmersbach) and even independent farms!). The 100 states had been 30-35 Imperial towns, 20- 25 Spiritual Lords ( includung the female abbot of an independent womens monastry) and 40-50 noble Lords. Their ,troops' had been policemen, ceremonial guards and lowtrained leviemen, but few welltrained soldiers. So basicly unuseable troops. This expains, why French troops had been so sucessfull between 1630 and 1812, and it clearly shows, that the german ,miniatur' rulers of this era had no need for being warlike. But this fact is rather unknown and unpopular.

Perhaps i repeat it, i am Brittas boyfriend. For some reasons, i was not often outside of Germany, but some times in your country. Normandie, Bretagne, Loire valley, some daytrips in Alsace, which is clearly a mix of german and french influence.
As a person with history knowledge, i know a lot of history, so i don' t like nationalists, who say, they are better than other people in every case. Such behavior is not fine and results endless hate and trouble. So i think, the franco- german way of our days is good.
