  1. Here in Germany you can call a Revolver as ,Pistole' when you mean, that it is a small firearm you can fire with one hand. The reason is that Pistole is the older word, and revolvers had been invented to give the mostly singleshot muzzleloader pistol more firepower.

  2. In the late 20s, a part oft this revolvers had been converted into flare guns. The cylinders and rifled barrels had been taken away and replaced by smoothbore barrel, a break mechanic had been there.
