A small note from a german native : German ch sound is not spoken k! It spoken similar to the noise of an angry cat, but slower and softer. Then Natter is the name of one of the three snakes existing in Germany, the other ones are Kreuzotter and Blindschleiche. One of the three concrete ramps between Jesingen, Nabern and Holzmaden, i once have seen all three, seems still existing, the others have been destroyed during construction of a new railway track.
What you may not knew, the region arround Kirchheim unter Teck was and still is a centre of glider Sport. Next to Teck Castle, at Teck Mountain, there are relicts of a glider hall and a glider lift, which could lift a glider for 70 Meter! Build in 1930s to train glider pilots, which was a preparation for building the Luftwaffe.
And in Kirchheim unter Teck, the glider company Schempp- Hirth still exists, while from Wolf Hirth company only buildings remain.
