  1. A note: German Forces in German East Africa before 1914 had been both Schutztruppe and Landespolizei ( Country Police). The Landespolizei was transformed into Schutztruppe units, when war started, and german settlers where mobilized as Reservists. So there had been at first 1100 to 1200 white german soldiers.
