  1. Today only few old people on Helgoland still speak frisian. In a german you tube Video i asked about this dialect, and got the answer, that few decades ago the perhaps 2000 current inhabitants, many of them being not descendants of frisian native locals, will use only Standard German. Would be to difficult, to teach both Helgoland Version of frisian and Standard German in such a Village. Btw., i am from southern Germany, speaking swabian dialect.
