I waited for Nelson to give us some reasonable explanation as to why DCs knee remained after GF was unresponsive. As a wife of a LEO, I really wanted there to be a valid reason. I watched every moment of this trial LIVE including 3 weeks of jury selection. In the end, I felt he was guilty of 2nd degree manslaughter. I think George Floyd's death was made the poster-child for racial injustice in America, but I don't believe this case was about race when it happened. Folks used it to forward their cause. George Floyd was a human being and the video of his death is hard to watch, but he's not the martyr and symbol he's been made out to be. I pray for all of our LEOs right now. Of course, there's always the need to improve training especially when it comes to mental health. I hope this brings about change in that respect. Chauvin has several valid arguments that can be used on appeal. Judge Cahill was right to say politicians should remain silent regarding the legal branch of our government. But I also think he made the wrong call by not sequestering this jury from day one. I just pray our country will see change that unites us. We all bleed red.
