OMG! I've never heard of this case so I took your advice and looked it up! That body cam video is shocking! Those LEOs cracking jokes and making fun of that man is appalling!😯

@tressietes04 See, I have the unpopular opinion that this was not a case about race in it's initial context. They were responding to a call for criminal activity. The aftermath sparked a conversation that needs to be had, for sure, but the officers weren't engaged in racial profiling in my opinion.

@tressietes04 I just watched the body cam in the Autumn Steele case. I have no words!

@NoQuarterIsHere Unfortunately, Officer Chauvin's body cam got knock off and went under the patrol car during the initial scuffle. Officer Kueng's point of view in it's limited capacity is the best we're going to get from the officer's perspective.

@tressietes04 My husband and I had this conversation just the other day. I was sharing my thoughts that racial profiling happens in America today by some bad cops. Just my opinion by some news articles I've seen, but no personal experience. My husband has been a dedicated LEO for two decades. We live in a city a quarter of the size of Minneapolis and he says he has never witnessed or even heard about a case of racial profiling in his career in our city. He says there are actual measures in place that track the ethnicity and gender of citizens detained by cops and there are severe repercussions for any officer heavy-handed in one direction or another. I value the conversation we shared and feel it's one that needs to be addressed. I might also mention that in 20 years my husband has NEVER had a complaint against him whether due to excessive force or otherwise. He says in his opinion, 18 excessive force complaints in 19 years is an insane amount to have.

@tressietes04 Only two of Chauvin's excessive force complaints were reprimanded. Those are the only ones Judge Cahill said he'd allow to be presented in court. Did the MPD overlook bad conduct in the other 16 cases or were his actions justified? We will probably never know. I feel awful for everyone involved in the Autumn Steele tragedy. The officer was sincerely distraught. My husband responded to a domestic dispute years ago and the family pit bull dog charged him in an instant. He discharged his weapon in a split second judgment killing the family pet. The family did not file a complaint, but I can tell you it was a life altering experience for my husband who spent a lot of time second guessing his decision. Being a LEO is not an easy job.
