Putin is literally killing the civil economy of Russia -- and he don't care. Like hard liquor, first comes the buzz; next morning comes the hangover. Putin has BANKRUPTED his civil economy -- AND his military economy. Right now, his system is tottering forward based on collective faith and belief. This means cultural fragility. It will always break down -- rather like a bank facing a run. The day before, many see the bank's distress -- but nothing really seems awry. THEN, boom! The run begins. Folks start lining up at the teller window -- just because there's a line -- nothing more. That's how Russia's prior revolutions started off. August 15th, 1991. Remember? Suddenly there were tanks in the street -- and Yeltsin strode atop one. The invincible USSR was vinced. It turned out that absolutely no-body had faith in it, would be willing to die for it.
