  1. Hyper-sonic WARHEADS are designed for a sneak attack. No-one can stop even a old-fashioned ICBM dumb warhead. The technology is designed by Moscow and Beijing for EACH OTHER. Such warheads have no utility against the USA. We're too far away for a sneak hypersonic attack. The one thing a hyper-sonic vehicle does is reduce the amount of mass you can dedicate to a warhead. It also introduces the distinct possibility that your weapon will overheat and fail at hitting the desired target. The sweet thing about ballistic missiles is that physics takes them to their target. They are, essentially, impossible to jam. So far, EVERY player is using an ICBM to launch hyper-sonic warheads. They are also way too expensive to use in an anti-SR-71 role. BTW, the heat around a hyper-sonic warhead jams all conventional guidance except internal inertial guidance. BTW, Putin is using America as-a-threat as a dodge to hide the fact that Red China is what menaces Moscow. They have a HUGE territorial desire in Siberia. The USA has absolutely no issues with Russia. As far as America is concerned, mere containment of Moscow's fantasies is the strategic goal. In contrast, Beijing is now aimed -- grenade, style -- at every point of the compass -- to include Vladivostok.
