They HATE the Houthis as much as the Saudis. The Houthis have dropped canal fee income by $7,000,000,000 last year. This has become a budget nightmare for Cairo. Naturally, they have been yelping at Washington all through 2024 for the US to eliminate the Houthis -- especially their interdiction assets. Jake Sullivan-the-wise /s has kicked them to the curb, per his own doctrine: No-Can-Do. (cf Israel, Ukraine, Finland, Estonia)
