  1. Wendover Prod hasn't the faintest idea of how naval power is expressed in the modern age... and that is from a far remove. The so-called Seven Dash Line is TOTALLY irrelevant to naval warfare// blockade. It is simply the ONLY fall back plan that the PLAN can come up with to justify a fatter budget. It's a no-where strategy// plan for Beijing. There is absolutely NOTHING that the PLAN can do to stop the USN from totally crippling Red China's global trade with a PHONE CALL. Not one merchant vessel on the planet will hazard a voyage in defiance of the USN. NOT ONE. They won't even leave port. Such a blockade did in Hitler, the Kaiser, and Napoleon. Why set sail when the Royal Navy will bag every ship in sight? As for the Imperial Japanese Navy, they could explain to the PLAN from there watery graves how unpleasant the USN can make things -- and quickly, too. For Red China to attack Taiwan, Japan, America or Britain is to attack them ALL at the same time. In our age of atomic ICBMs -- each one of these sea powers is just as vulnerable as the other -- and not one of them could live in a world dominated by the CCP. The CCP has to understand, as Moscow once did, that money spent on a global navy is money thrown down the drain. It's money better spent on the PLA and PLAAF.
