  1. I've known more that a few guys who were forced to work under the table and use false IDs so as to have ANY cash flow at all. Their 'nut' with the State of California was towering -- and bench warrants were outstanding. They'd lost their prior careers that paid really, really well -- which caused the Family Court to gavel a FAT child support. We're talking a figure greater than their current gross income -- before taxes. They were so paranoid that they would also shift jobs -- chronically -- so as to duck the child support warrants. I was puzzled about one point: Why didn't they just flee the state? They certainly were never able to see their children. Their ex-wives still hated them.

  2. These hype-elevated child support payouts are obscene. 1) Not income to the receiver. 2) Not tax deductible for the payor. 3) Child support usually goes LONG. The kids are still quite young when the divorce fires off. 4) Courts never adjust for new era poverty. Yet this is a COMMON occurrence for ex-addict fathers. Their conviction killed their careers. 5) Strangely, Family Court allows the mother to hang onto the kids when they need their father the most: adolescence. This is the period when teens must shift their world view towards being outside the home. That's when daddy kicks in... for both s*x*s. So, Joker, you're wrong. Halle will have to shoot two films to cover her 'nut.' Her Big Problem is that she's now too old to command top dollar.
