  1. A wise man ONLY has male friends. No woman really wants to share a man/ prospect with other women... women that would surely proffer opinions (of her) ... SO unwanted. You don't even want the mind-set that comes with a woman's emotional point of view -- which is bound to come out if you're crazy enough to have an XX friend. A lover wants to be the only gal in your male-centric life. (It's cat nip to her. She's already got the female-centric life nailed down.) Take a page from Steve McQueen and other Hollywood icons. They have absolutely NO girl 'friends.' They have no time for female 'issues.' They live lives of mystery ( to women ) that only their lover is able hook into... as his lover. ( Check out the dynamics in: The Thomas Crown Affair. The film really is centered around the wooing and the romance. Hence, the puny title.) If she wants to be your lover, she'll be extremely reluctant to ever go into her emotional well, to bring up buckets of angst. [The film was re-made -- yet the dynamic the second time around was virtually the same. Russo ends up chasing Brosnan all the way to the end. He's nailing her; but she can't quite lock him down. Still, they're not 'friends.' ]
