  2. Actually, construction is rolling right along. It's being overwhelmed by illegal immigrants who -- just by themselves -- need 1,000,000 new homes per year on top of all other factors. That's a LOT of apartments. The illegals get no end of Federal benefits. Native citizens are left to fend for themselves. The illegals have no choice but to beg for bottom-end jobs -- and usually -- to steal/ move drugs -- so as to pay off their nut to the trafficking cartels. The typical 'nut' these days is ~ $10,000 for a guy ~ $ 8,000 for a gal. Of course, it's whatever the cartel can extract. Indirectly, the Federal government is supporting the Mexican cartels. This reality infuriates Mexican officialdom. They're 'hip'; Harris is not.
