Molls demand 'a date' ONLY if she believes she's above her victim.
The SECOND a gal demands 'a date' -- walk away. She's ALREADY deemed you to be inferior.
The ENTIRE idea about men offering material goods to women comes from the Cathars of France -- 1,000 years ago. Yup.
Their religious ideology featured the idea of an ideal love -- which ALWAYS involved a male suitor of INFERIOR status for a noble maiden -- of which coitus could never happen, marriage, children -- it was to be a frustrated love. The ancient poets just LOVED the concept -- even though the Church wiped out the Cathars. It shows up in countless modern love triangles -- as the princess is sure to be betrothed to a prince, king, lord, knight....
THIS is where these gals have obtained their mind set. It's found in countless Harlequin Romance plots. In them, the maiden gets the Alpha, at the expense of NPC sprinkled through the plot. These gals are actually trying to live out such 'romances.' They really are.
I swear, Taylor the Fiend has not picked up on the source material for such fevered minds. But, he would find them in romantic fiction which is overwhelmingly feminine in character.
Guys look at air brushed photos -- gals read of dream brushed fictional romances. Both impulses have established timeless industries.
