  1. One quibble -- the fuel was ethanol 150proof -- plus some methanol as a denaturant. Fermented potato skins/ potatoes were used to craft the booze. These edibles came at the expense of the Polish & POW populations. Because of this, US Army prisoners were left starving in 1944/45. My Uncle dug graves at Dora. My old business peer was in prison as the rations dropped to nothing in late 44. Ethanol is low tech. Methanol is high tech -- in the quantities Adolph required.
