The FLAK 36 took multiple shots -- usually -- because they engaged at very long range for the period. You would too if you had no armor protection at all. At such ranges, the first shots often missed. If they hit, they worked. That tank was dead. IF the enemy was much closer, then the 88s would kill a tank with virtually every shot. A hit was a kill. Once you see the PG round -- it's obvious why. It's a monster.
