  1. Fracking, as a technological leap, has increased economically recoverable oil by one-hundred times over. This is not at all acceptable to the Global Warming theologians. What the average guy does not know: Russia has drastically more oil in the ground than Saudi Arabia. It's been kept a state secret for decades. Without fracking, this immense strata must remain wholly uneconomic. But with fracking, Russia has centuries of exportable oil. There are 'thin' oil bearing strata all over our planet that have never been publicized because conventional drilling can't recover such oil. The firms that have discovered such deposits keep their mouths shut. They don't want their rivals to know anything.
