You must be a kid. It's been fifty-years, but I have always advocated next-generation power. 1) PV schemes are all wrong. They are not oriented towards lowest cost. The Great American Desert is where you want PV arrays. 1a) That means New Mexico, Arizona, West Texas, Southeast California. 1b) What they all have in common: fantastic energy collection stats. 2) Such nationally funded schemes should be echoes of the TVA and BPA. 2a) Against emotional logic, such grids ought to be oriented towards industrial demand. 2b) It's against industrial preference, but such things as copper ultra-refining and more actually make more economic sense with PV power. I'll stop here.The engineering is beyond your keen. Accept that.
