It was syphilis that caused Napoleon to waste an entire day prior to marching on Mont St. Jean ( ie Waterloo ) [ Waterloo was Wellington's HQ, not the actual battle site. ] The medical facts came by way of Napoleon's personal physician at the time. He committed everything to his diary... with orders to his heirs to keep the diary sealed for at least two-generations. And, as you might expect: Adolf Hitler had terminal syphilis. That's why Germany's number one physician for the disease became his dedicated doctor. The disease destroys the mind... and Adolf was in a very advanced stage.

Spartacus... FACTS. First stage syphilis results in an insanely painful burning organ. So much so, it's not uncommon for the afflicted to have extreme agony merely relieving themselves. Napoleon's attending physician -- from his HQ -- puts any of your nostrums to bed. The OFFICIAL Russian government release was put paid to ANY of your assertions. The Soviets had been lying for decades. Their syphilis expert was brought in -- at the last -- AFTER Lenin had had his so-called stroke. Heh. Explain THAT. The DEFINITIVE Nazi medical records were seized by the US Army at the end of WWII. They are in the US national archives. After much travail they were finally tracked down... so MANY records to plow through. To the complete astonishment of modern physicians, Adolf had the ABSOLUTE signature of syphilis -- terminal stage. All doubts were crushed. That alpha politicians screw around a bit too widely (Bill Clinton) is a truism. (Legend has Henry VIII screwing a new babe EVERY day. He was that desperate for an heir. One resulting boy was in line for dukedom. He died before his elevation. That rich bastard nearly had it made. IT HAD TO BE A SOVIET BIOPSY. 1923 in the USSR... tear off the aluminum foil. The Yeltsin government ran the whole Russian government. Their release showed that ALL prior emissions were frauds. This was published ACROSS the British and American press at the time.... not some ding-bat alt-reality Interwebs 'press.' Yeltsin released it to put an END to your hopes and dreams. The crazy idea that the NKVD would allow Lenin's brain to be held back for a biopsy at a later date that exposed the official lie as a lie -- 'tis to laugh. Stop defending these crazy tyrants. BTW, Napoleon was in his HQ tent all day. His screams were so loud that his own Imperial Guard spread the tale all these centuries. But no-one could verify the legend until the diary was unearthed. You plainly don't know the first thing about syphilis -- as your first posting here shows. You also don't know the first thing about the NKVD/KGB/FSB line of reasoning. No-one in the modern day has ANY access to Lenin's brain -- and no-one ever did when the Soviets were through. Syphilis, back then, had the same political baggage as HIV does today. That's why so many HIV deaths of the famous have been attributed to ANYTHING else. Many of the famous (mid-life and later) suicides are due to the fact that they KNOW that their time has come.

@Spart... Yeltsin gave an International Press Conference on the matter. He invited EVERYBODY. He stood in front of a LONG desk full of documents produced from Soviet State Archives. It made the nightly news... pretty much everywhere. It made it to Fleet Street, et al. The documents showed that ALL PRIOR releases were pure fiction... made per the request of the national authorities of the period. I don' know how much more public a matter can possibly get. The whole affair got BIG write-ups at the time. Leave my favorite shaver out of it.
