Mud immobilizes mechanized armies. In WWII, this meant that the Nazis and Bolsheviks had 'vacations' twice a year. Mud does not affect straight leg infantry nearly as much -- nor air forces -- nor drones. A tank stuck in mud is dead meat for Ukrainian artillery. It's not much better if they're stuck on paved roads, either. The Summer season is THE time for war -- and yet the RA is totally gassed -- unable to advance. The UA is content -- for a time -- to just attrite RA assets. Zelenskyy's strategy is to bleed the RA white. It's working.

@MrErnestsKarlsons Modern electronics are so slick that it does not mater what the season or weather is. Especially the American TOW missile -- of which Biden has just signed off on 1,500 for Ukraine. (!!!) Their kill rate is ~ 90% -- only operator error can save a target. The lightness of Russian tanks is irrelevant. What's relevant is their ground pressure per square foot. For this metric, the Russians are in the same league as Americans, Germans, British, and French. Ukrainian mud is toxic to all. It does to tanks what glue traps do to rats. In WWII, the Krauts witnessed entire machines sinking into the goo... lost forever. ( Nazi war machines are still being recovered across Eastern Europe and the former USSR.) Ike saw a motorcycle lost to Tunisian mud in late 1942. Four soldiers couldn't save it. He terminated the Allied Winter offensive right then and there. ( He wasn't Adolf, wasn't Stalin. ) Excavators and more get lost deep in mud all the time. Go to YT for endless videos of such machines being rescued. It's actually a sub-industry with its own specialists. But in Ukraine, the bog goes on forever -- in Mud season. Moscow knows all of this. So it must really hurt to see Summer fading away -- utterly lacking in victorious results. When Mud arrives this Fall, morale in the streets of Moscow is going to plummet. That may be behind the FSB's wet work against Dugina. It's a false-flag pity-play.

The Chief is wrong. The Russian army has a tradition of cracking up. This happened in WWI -- the closest historical analogy to what's transpiring now. Putin CAN'T mobilize generally. It'd break his economy AND he can't equip the men that would show up for duty. The West has crippled his defense production capacity -- which these days turns on micro-chips as the critical factor -- not steel, aluminum or rubber. Putin's air fleet is hamstrung now -- but destined to be grounded. It's so bad that Putin is attempting to re-engine his civilian airliners. They can't land outside of Russia -- lest legal seizure begin. Even Red China won't tolerate Putin's stolen aircraft. RA morale is at rock bottom -- and heading lower. And now New Delhi has abandoned Putin. There goes Putin's defense exports and their profits. It'll take quite some time, but it's obvious that the USAF will be giving up 4th generation fighters to Kyiv. Britain and Germany keep upping the SAM assets of Kyiv. It's gotten so bad that the Russian air force is loathe to fly over unoccupied Ukraine.

But America is glutted with food -- and can supply -- is supplying -- food, oil, LNG, and even coal. Europe's credit is still good, too.

@bobpadok5331 Bob -- the UA is bigger than ever. It's grown so large that Zelenskyy is having trouble equipping it. The big Lend Lease surge has yet to arrive -- and it will come by ship -- not C-17. The American defense industry is so huge that it takes weeks, months, to shift gears. For example, most of its ammo plants are still in mothballs. Biden has been shipping out of existing warehouse stocks. The US DoD is ~ 800,000,000,000 per year. Congress has only kicked in 40,000,000,000 -- 5% to Ukraine. The Pentagon's strategy is to boil the frog slowly. And so far, Putin has failed to jump out of the pot. The heat won't stop until Putin abandons ALL of Ukraine -- especially Crimea. If he doesn't get wise, Putin may lose the Kuban, Sochi and more.
