  1. The announcement is off in only one respect: for Moscow/Putin the metric that counts is the total of KIA, Wounded, MIA. (Missing: Lost in the swamp; KIA or Captured, but slow paperwork; Deserted; KIA but body blown to bits in battle; etc.) This number is always going to be much larger than just KIA. 12,000 KIA seems quite high, whereas the total losses to all causes figures to be past 25,000 by now. That's the metric that's hobbling Putin's invasion. ~25,000 / ~175,000 = ~ 14% in fourteen days. It DOES figure to be toothless. Putin has gotten everything wrong. His invasion expedition was way too small; it was way too ambitious; and it had no Plan B. And... he lied to his own troops. Informed Russians don't want Putin's war of choice. That's why Putin is keeping Russia in the dark. And now MUD is coming. It defeated Napoleon (canons) and Adolf. (trucks) Ukrainian mud is the end of mobile warfare.
