  1. Iowa class has radar. Yamato class does not. USN attacks in bad weather. Game over. BTW, the USN studied 18" guns and determined that they were unnecessary, and slower to load. Even the RN figured out that 14" guns did the job. All of these monster guns fire shells so huge that they cast shadows as they fly to their targets.
