Estonia was only getting peaking/ back-up electricity from Russia. It's main link was undersea -- from Finland.

That's a bogus stat generated by the Green Party. They calculate not based on kWHr -- but on name plate capacity... which is irrelevant.

Renewables -- Green Energy -- is STILL wholly uneconomic. Atomic power is the way forward. We just need to make such plants to an established standard -- same as jumbo jets. No end of construction expense is strictly due to custom manufactures on site. That's been proven to be the wrong way to go. I would consider, if I were Tsar, to build atomic plants at the mouth of Arctic river deltas -- strictly to make the river navigable during the Summer. The obvious idea being to establish a cooling/ warming pond adjacent to the river -- at the mouth. Condensing steam at ice water temperatures does increase thermal efficiency -- a nice thing when atomic reactors are considered. But, I'd go with atomic power on a rather grand scale -- as it's so much more benign to the environment; so much safer for miners, too. PV arrays make a lot of sense in the Arctic -- because you only need/ want seasonal power. When the Autumn comes, you just leave town.

Reagan saw the issue right from the start. He let the howling begin. Merkel really ramped Germany's dependency way, way up.

Realistically, the Russian colony in Moldova has to leave -- and go home -- and then be drafted. (!!!) Well, no wonder the boys don't want to head East !

@barreloffun10 It's actually a reverse buy-out... something so common on Wall Street.

NATO, as a whole, is trying to outlast Erdogan -- same as Canada is trying to outlast Trudeau... et. al.

Finland has a staggering fraction of its juice from its atomic power plants. The link to Estonia was so as to dump the surplus -- particularly at night. Yes,' Finland is an electricity exporter -- until most recently.

Romania is flipping Russian gas via the Turkish pipeline connection. Romania does not have sufficient natural gas from its own wells.
