His delay permitted the Prussians to march into his right flank and decide the battle. The British forces became victorious by not being defeated. It was the Prussians that decided the issue.

  2. BTW, ANY alpha emitting Polonium will prove more lethal than any common chemical. Polonium has more nuclides than any other -- and none are stable.
