Berry, in Iowa State College, during the 1940s, he created the ABC (Atanasoff-Berry Computer) that was the first electronic digital computer. The ENIAC was built upon his designs and with his help. All of this was established in Federal court in 1970 in the most expensive civil litigation up until that date. The court room was packed with the highest priced attorneys to be had. This case blew up the patents of the ENIAC crowd. Turing's claim to be the first is Dead, Dead, DEAD. He did invent great things, but to be the inventor you have to be FIRST. A problem that I've run into more than once.
