  1. The Taiwan gambit is mis-direction. Beijing wants ITS Siberia B A C K ! Naturally Beijing can turn all of its cards over to tyrant Putin. For him, the CCP presents a totally false face. Hypersonic warheads for ICBMs have no utility against the US. They are actually a MEDIUM RANGE strategic weapon. Plunging down into the atmosphere means leaping drag. And that means a fantastic reduction in throw-weight. And obviously light weight decoys, now a part of every ICBM weapons suite, can't travel with a hypersonic penetrator. But such a warhead is just perfect for both Moscow and Beijing -- against each other. No wonder the Pentagon dragged its R&D feed on this front. Research is now done on a defensive basis -- to make sure that America is not missing a weapons trick. It's also done to augment America's Tit for Tat universal response to hostile nations that are near peer competitors.
