@uros7426 The typical tank is immune to the typical artillery round. What ever hit the destroyed machines had smarts or was locally aimed. (direct fired) If artillery was used, the ENTIRE zone nearby would be blasted... with plenty of shell holes to show for it.

@jsdotnetsql The combatants have never had the time to set proper mine fields. Hasty mines -- set atop asphalt -- have been videoed as the Ukrainians skid them aside with their feet. The UAVs are absolutely game changers -- because most SAM logic does not go that low, that slow. The Israelis discovered that Russian SAM logic is not at all set up for stuff like the Switchblade. (The Switchblade appears to be a knock-off of an Israeli counter-SAM hunter-killer suicide drone.)

@uros7426 Reactive armor defeats classic RPG technology. That's WHY you see it all over, these days. RPGs still have their place. The US Army lost a lot of helicopters to RPGs. (See: "Sole Survivor") A Javelin that takes out a SPA machine/ tank is well worth the price tag. And anyhow, the USA is picking up their price tag. All of these brilliant weapons take a terrible toll on any tanker's morale. They are why the loss of even two tanks is enough to paralyze an entire column. No-one wants to be 'next.'
