The FBI was turning over every rock to find the leaker --- while FDR sat quiet. Eventually, Hoover traced everything to Hap Arnold's personal aide. Only then did he realize that the leak was an official act. FDR did it. Rainbow 5 told everyone that the US was NOT prepared -- AT ALL -- to get to Europe for at least 18 months. THIS is the reason Adolf and Tojo felt the time was ripe to pull the pin on WWII. It's a historical fact that the US began sending its military to fight in mid-1942.
