  1. By 1975 both the F-14 and F-15 were flying. The Mig did have one big surprise -- a tube based radar. It was an analogue system! If you turned it on -- while on the ground -- you'd cook a chicken in seconds flat -- or kill your ground crew! LOL. The USAF had abandoned vacuum tube technology because they can't survive in combat.
