  1. At this point, it's clear that the UA is going to displace to the west -- about as fast as it can march. Putin's conquest has devolved into an infantry-artillery campaign than would fit right into World War One. The active ground -- at present -- is not suitable for tanks. The water table is so high, in most areas, that tanks would just drop onto their bellies. That will change in a month's time. I see logistical headaches for the RA immediately ahead... due to the rivers to be crossed. The US has opened the flood-gates with Lend-Lease. So time is short. The American MLRS is the kiss of death for any conventional canon crew. In 1991, a single volley was known to cause the collapse of entire artillery brigades -- officers, the first to flee. Neither Russia nor Ukraine wants to release casualty figures -- but the current fighting has to be a very bloody affair. I can't imagine either side coming out on top. In WWI, the attacker always lost more than the defender -- even though the attacker always had the artillery advantage to a marked degree.
