Biden doesn't quite know what's going on. So there's no scheming with Biden... just his handlers. Putin has gone Adolf. He's Stalin 2.0. Ukrainians well remember the Holodomor. No wonder they are up in arms over Putin's invasion.

Russian insiders tell tales of Putin largely living in his command bunker complex underneath the Kremlin. (It's huge.) He dares not even sit near his own top military commanders. Check out those L O N G tables. That's a level of paranoia not even seen with Stalin and Adolf -- both mighty paranoid despots. Whereas Zelenskyy is a man of the people. When the mud comes, as it must, I can easily imagine the Russian army losing its edge. Mud may be only 72-hours away. It's already showing up in the afternoons. (Southern Belarus is a mega swamp, the largest in Europe, by far.)

@BinladenObama That's an understatement. Whatever you think Kiev is in the global scheme, it's small potatoes compared to Switzerland, Panama, Iceland or even Cyprus. It's location is all wrong. Most Big Money wants to transit through major hubs. Really big money is going to stick out in Kiev. It's just not a big enough player. In Switzerland, Big Money would pass without notice. Other fun spots: Luxembourg, Hong Kong,... Cyprus is huge with the Russians because it's an island that they practically own and the weather is nice. (Cyprus took over when Beirut fell apart. Previously, the whole world laundered money via Beirut. Those players simply moved over to Cyprus, of course.)

No. The West is fighting Putin -- FINANCIALLY, ECONOMICALLY. No-one wants to fight him with atomic weapons - which is exactly where a NATO vs Russia conflict would go. Putin would actually like such a show-down. He wouldn't blink, either. He's never NOT escalated in his entire political life. BTW, he's just flat-lined the Russian economy. It's like losing your job, your career. Until the money runs out, you can still keep up appearances. So too, Putin.

Biden blackmailed Kiev, not Trump. Biden bragged about doing exactly that on video tape -- for public broadcast. Trump implored Kiev to open the Biden corruption angle -- and THAT audio has become public, too. All if which means that you're totally off base. Hillary Clinton has been exposed for using Ukrainian 'assets' to sabotage Trump. Indictments are already afoot. Keep up with the news. It was the Biden clan that Kiev was paying off, BTW. By treaty, there is no way that Ukraine qualifies for membership. No candidate nation can have an open border dispute. Putin caused Georgia and Ukraine to have exactly that: border disputes. He KNOWS that NATO membership is not in the works -- and could never be. BTW, when he pitched his invasion to his fellow Russians, he never brought NATO membership up, at all. NATO membership is a non-issue used as disinformation by Putin. His true concern is to bring back the USSR. He wants to be Stalin 2.0 -- well, that explains everything. Just read his Big Speech.

@wiraira91 There was NO WAY that London was ever going to reveal its inner motivation WRT NATO. The public record (logic) of events has been sanitized. London also wanted to keep sucking Washington into 'international affairs.' IE help maintain the British world order. At the time, isolationism was still a very potent factor in American politics. The fact that London NEVER forgot Napoleon and was not about to forget Adolf -- well -- as an adult, you're expected to figure that out on your own. Now the whole world will never forget Putin. He's gone full Adolf. The only thing slowing him down is NATO. It has more of everything (nasty) than he does. At a fundamental level, Putin is an imperialist. His mind is stuck in the 18th Century... 'buffer states' and all of that stuff. With ICBMs and global communications -- distance no longer has strategic meaning.

It would appear that Putin has lost~10,000 out of an invasion force of ~160,000 ==> 6.25% in 10 days. That figure does not cover lost conscripts. His air force and helicopter fleet is stuffed with hangar queens. The reason that the Russian Air Force has been so ineffective: it's in the shop/hangar being repaired. Unlike Western air forces, the Soviets built their fleet for a One-Day Punch. Numerous, but not built to last. Moscow figured that nothing would last in atomic war, anyway. Russia is still flying Soviet designed air craft. Her more modern stuff has never been committed to Putin's invasion.

So, it's more like 9,000 lost within 80,000 mechanized troops. Yiikes !!! The above calculus hugely explains why Putin is calling up reserves even from Vladivostok. I also expect that Javelin losses have only begun. When the mud comes, don't be surprised to see mass abandonment of Russian machines. Such abandonments occurred repeatedly during WWII -- Nazis and Soviets. Once Javelins actually start raining down on Russian tanks, APCs, artillery, you'll see boys running for home. No army is immune to panic flight. You know what really cracks me up? (East) German Strellas are being sent to Ukraine. If they work, they'll be destroying their designers.

NATO's fundamental purpose was to ensure that there would never be a Napoleon 2.0 or Adolf 2.0 -- France and Germany were MUCH more of a historical threat to England. So minds had been focused on them for centuries longer than Russia or the USSR. However, to sell NATO, London needed a threat -- and Stalin, the guy that started WWII in Europe -- WAS an obvious threat. By 1949, he even had The Bomb. NATO was set up, by London, so that it was impossible for France or Germany to launch instant armies across Europe. Remember, Napoleon invented the instant mass army. That was the beginning of a draft army. All prior armies had been raised by passion, fear and rage -- and a charismatic figure. Professional armies were, in comparison, tiny. Napoleon's early successes were entirely due to the French draft. He simply had a HUGE army. Adolf crushed Poland because France was feckless -- and because the Germans had perfected the instant army. ( Reservists to the Colors in mere hours. ) Poland, like today's Ukraine, tried to not mobilize on the theory that to do so would replicate the errors of 1914 -- when everybody over mobilized. Read: "The Guns of August." The reason NATO kept ticking on after the USSR collapsed was because its primary purpose was to keep Napoleon 2.0 and Adolf 2.0 at bay. I can't imagine any era where NATO is not needed. Eventually, when Russia is de-Putinized, Moscow, Minsk and Kiev will all join NATO -- to protect themselves from the REAL menace: Red China. Remember, NATO is structured so as to make it impossible for any NATO member to attack each other. THAT'S is primary purpose: peace in Europe.

@maynunal Impeachment, these days, has devolved to partisan politics. Yet no American president has been convicted in the Senate. So, Johnson, Clinton and Trump all stayed in office. You should expect that the House will impeach Biden next year over his follies. Then the Senate will (very likely) fail to convict one of their own.

@maynunal No. Trump plead for Kiev to reinvigorate the investigation of the Biden scam. But, domestic politics in Kiev made that a non-starter. Kiev also knew that it was highly likely that they'd be soon facing the Democrat machine. And boy, were they ever right. Naturally, by the time Trump called, Kiev figured that they owned both Bidens. Biden's connection to Kiev has to irritate Putin. He wishes that Biden was under HIS thumb, instead.
