  4.  @donaldclifford5763  Those who know him best all say the same thing: Putin is not for turning. As long as anyone has known him, he just escalates. This is normal for gangsters, of course. Putin displayed astounding grandiosity when he assembled his toadies and then proceeded to humiliate them collectively, and individually. The entire episode illustrates the psyche of a despot. As one oligarch relates, Putin doesn't listen to ANYBODY, certainly not his oligarchs. They are mere pawns to him.
