  1. Keane is getting his dope from the Pentagon, not Kiev. Indeed, he's being prepped for these interviews by his old subordinates. It's amazing the details that spring from his 'opinions' that have never hit the news cycle before. What's happening is that the Pentagon is using 'retirees' as their spokesmen. So when Keane speaks of 9 downed planes... it's pretty accurate. And, he IS astonished.
