@philspd473 Mike had better lawyer up. He was just a staffer.

@thomasfosterjr.5247 VP don't have declassification authority. All presidents do. Ol' Joe needed to get Obama's sanction -- but he clearly didn't.

@thomasfosterjr.5247 Biden has big problems with records that he kept from his days as a Senator. The story making the rounds is that Biden's records have been obviously compromised by Chinese agents... and that's just the short list. I can't imagine Hillary, Trump or Biden ever being hauled into court. The law under discussion was a creature of Wilson -- more than a century ago -- to go after HIS political enemies. No-one ever imagined that it would be used against ranking national politicians. Hillary's abuse is EPIC by any standard -- and you can bet that the Russians, Chinese, et. al used hackers to get into her server. (If they failed to do so, they would've been shot.) The MSM has buried this tale -- due to their political bias. If Biden's stash is merely trivia -- the stuff politicians use to write their memoirs -- that's one thing. If it turns out that the Biden crime family's operations with Ukraine as a funding conduit come out -- the sparks will fly. It took more than a generation for the FBI's role in taking down Nixon to come out. I don't think the American public will ever be clued into what's been going on... until we are all dead.

@theowl3756 Benghazi is ultimately going to be classed as Bay of Pigs 2.0 -- sort of. ( When asked, Kennedy refused to allow the US military intervention permission. The whole idea of the CIA op WAS for the DoD to intervene. The exact same cluster of request and refusal -- and scrambled cyphers occured in 1961. The only long term impact of the Bay of Pigs was the Berlin Wall, the Iron Curtain and the Vietnam War. Other than those items, it was no biggie.) I love the way that the CIA Station has been pitched as an "Annex" to the embassy. What a hoot. And then, there's the obvious Iranian connection that's been buried in the American Press. You'd have to read overseas publications to find out the first thing about that. ( Reuters ) Like Kennedy, Obama loved using the CIA. ( He was a CIA boy -- obtaining his very first job with the CIA -- working in downtown Manhattan. His mother and grandparents were CIA employees. His mother ran the books for the CIA during the Afghanistan War... from Pakistan. Forensics would say that the KGB murdered her -- another star on the wall. ) And like Kennedy, he did NOT want the US military tied into bailing out a covert op. (The election was in the wings.) He and Hillary had managed to set up an armed wing within the State Department. (!) All of this was on the down low. The optics would be terrible.

It can't ever work like that. What might work: keeping critical committee chairmen + ranking members up to speed. In practice, this would mean giving the dope to more staffers (lawyers) in DC.
