  1. You've got everything backwards. The last time the Saudis had a totally honest revelation - in the late 1950s - their negotiating position collapsed -- vis a vis the Seven Sisters -- notably Chevron, Mobil, Texaco and Exxon. Chevron found oil -- Well #7 -- still pumping -- and had to bring in Texaco and then, later, Exxon and Mobil. The deposit was that huge. After the Big Revelation, the price of their crude DROPPED. The next thing: Venezuela and Iran co-founded OPEC. The Saudis and Kuwaitis were soon on board. Both Russia and KSA keep their reserves a state secret because to actually reveal the truth would cause their selling prices to come under pressure -- same as 1956. KSA has forbidden any further exploration since the 1950s fiasco. Yeah, THAT LONG! If they thought that they were running tight, exploration would be ripping right along. Both Russia and KSA have been funding the Greens across the Western world -- to STOP the West from exploiting frackable deposits. Frackable oil and gas figures to be ten to twenty times as plentiful as conventional deposits... which are geologically peculiar.
