@davidyu3815 The overly gutsy F-117 pilot was shot down VISUALLY. Yeah, he was so low and slow that the defense actually could see him. In the Korean war, Mao resolved to eliminate his southern armies by forcing them into NATO guns. Most historians have yet to figure out that this is why the Chinese troops were suicidally brave. The southern armies had only been under Mao's control for about a year -- on paper. In reality, for an even shorter time. As for Vietnam, the American high command (ie LBJ, RMN) didn't want to expand the war up into Red China. Indeed, RMN was wooing Red China away from Moscow. When the B-52s were sent to Hanoi negotiations rapidly advanced. And the US had scarcely opened up its war chest. All during that extended campaign, the US kept a massive force in Europe and back at home. At the end, the US won the Cold War... crafting a uni-polar world. Yu, you don't look so bright.

A nation that is dependent upon another for its inventions lacks a LOT. Sun Tzu: "Appear strong when weak." US cuts off Red China from technology transfer -- in chips: Beijing is in TOTAL panic. The Americans won't sell them the rope to hang themselves.
