@nickdanger3802 The 3SS was right beside Rommel during the 1940 breakout and was credited with stopping the British even more than Rommel's panzers. The 3SS promptly moved on...ultimately gunning down British prisoners -- in 1940. LAH and Das Reich were also active in 1940. LAH invaded Poland in 1939. Since their 'contribution' was trivial, most histories omit them. (LAH was side-lined in 1939 with assassination duties -- for the most part. Crazed Nazi liquidations started in 1939. Objecting German generals howled.)

@Max-lf3tx T34c is insanely over-rated. Any two-man turret makes a tank a dog. The T34 was not perfected until mid-war. (The 85mm gun & turret) It NEVER had the proper armor distribution. It was designed with virtually a uniform armor thickness 360 degrees around. NO-ONE did that ever again. It's why the 37mm PAK could take out a T34 -- and was the leading cause of T34c destruction during Barbarossa. (When mounted on a PIII panzer.)

@nickdanger3802 IIRC, the independence celebration was scheduled for 1944. The Japanese invasion delayed it until 1946. Within two-weeks the news got to India -- and the Indians wanted their independence PDQ! No more excuses from Whitehall would do.
