  1. Professor, you're babbling in confusion. Zelenskyy wants the CONSCRIPTS -- as they come from MOSCOW & ST PETERSBURG. Contract soldiers almost NEVER come from those cities. Hence the campaign is POLITICALLY driven -- and must be driving Putin crazy. At ALL times, Putin has done everything possible to NOT impact Moscow and St Petersburg. These are the cities where dictators and tzars get over thrown. Nothing else really counts. Their parents will insist on their return, PDQ, and Putin can't say no. Which means that Azov prisoners will have to all be released, PDQ. Zelenskyy is not prepared to over commit his most elite formations. He needs them as cadre to raise even more top notch outfits. It's the buddy system writ large... kind of like professors and grad students. Keep in mind that Ukraine did not have a annual universal draft. So when 2014 broke out, Ukraine was wholly unprepared -- militarily. Even in 2022, Ukraine was utterly unimpressive compared to Russia -- militarily.
