  1. There is no way that the UA is taking huge losses via a pocket. Things have moved too slow. This is not Stalingrad 2.0. They are taking quite a beating from the staggering volume of RA artillery + RA winged bombs. The conflict is still totally up in the air -- especially because Drone Warfare has overtaken NATO/ USSR doctrines of the 1980s. Kyiv is being forced onto the strategic defense -- which is not a bad thing -- as drones don't need mechanized advances. Both Russia and Ukraine are ramping up weapons production at a furious pace. There is little publicity about this. All in all, we're seeing WWI 2.0 -- neither power has much left of their pre-war soldiery. It is quite amazing to see that the F-16s keep being delayed. Summer now appears to be the target. If their electronics are inferior to the Russian stuff, then there is no purpose for them. What IS important is that the RA has figured out how to jam GPS guidance signals -- ruining the efficiency of HIMARS, etc.
