  1. What the German Army has figured out -- to its horror -- is that its stockpile of 'stuff' is obsolete. Germany is militarily naked. It took the NLAW and Javelin to convince the high command that they had to re-rate their tanks as combat ineffective. (The ones in storage.) Technology has passed them by. What German generals had long suspected -- could now finally be accepted as true by the political elites. Germany needs 'new' across the board. Berlin is going to have to bite the bullet and buy serious numbers of F-35 multi-role aircraft. Stealth is the only defense against brilliant weapons. But, there is good news: Russia is self-castrating its tank force. Forget about Moscow's tank hype... its numbers. Their reserves are obviously even more useless than old German tanks. ( Leopard I ) They've been sitting for years as Siberian rust!
