  3.  @ADITYAKUMAR-mb5ht  No. The End will have started when Putin unleashes the genie. BTW, Putin's idea of a tactical nuke is about half the power of the Hiroshima bomb. The very term 'tactical nuke' was conjured up as a convention during the Cold War to satisfy the US Army -- which wanted nukes and nuke funding -- right along with the USAF. The two words don't belong together. It's as if using a pistol does not really count as a firearm because it's not really a proper rifle. (It's only effective within 20 yards. ) Try that in court some time. BTW, at ANY time, Kyiv can drop a dirty bomb in greater Moscow or St. Petersburg. Simply put, atomics don't work. They are NOT a tactical solution. Neither the West nor the Russians would EVER see atomic release as a baby detonation. Of course, most Russians would see acquiring more glowing Chernobyls (hence totally worthless for centuries) as pure insanity -- reason enough to terminate Putin's command.

  4. Sanctioning Russia is virtually pain free for the West. That's why so many firms are cutting and running -- just on public opinion. Russia is such a tiny, puny, nation -- in economic terms. By the end, Putin will have broken up the Russian Federation/Empire. Moscow's dominion will shrink down to 40,000,000 souls.

  5.  @markusberzborn6346  Markus, there are only two imperial powers at this time: Russia and Red China. They are also economically dependent powers... utter contrasts to the USA, the super-power. India, Brazil, America may be big -- but are not empires. They are bona fide democracies. Moscow and Beijing are run by gangster elites that loot large -- and screw up their national economies. When this is all over, perhaps taking decades, Russia will be reduced to its core: Muscovy. ( 40,000,000 White Russian souls ) Its seat at the UNSC will be taken over by India, no doubt. Red China will cough up Tibet... and a lot more. (Mongolia, et. al are money pits.)

  6.  @simonpedge  Put down the bong. Putin's invasion for conquest simply has to fail. He has the West against him -- totally. There is no way that ANY amount of invaded land will do him any good. Ask Napoleon, ask Adolf. BTW, attackers lose more than defenders -- even if they have a massive artillery advantage. Ditches save lives. Putin is deep into an infantry crisis. Iron he's got -- but not infantry.

  8.  @andrewbalgobin7915  But Putin is ALREADY carpet bombing cities -- with MLRS systems. He's just using cheaper rockets -- and plenty of them. When that is done, you'd swear that the city was hit by an atomic bomb -- it's that flat. Biological warfare has been exposed by the Red Chinese to be a disaster -- for those that crafted the weapon. (Wuhan and the CCP virus -- an obvious bio-weapon project that went awry.) Chemical agents are just NOT that effective. In WWI it was established that chemical warfare crippled attacks. No-one can hardly move when wearing the proper chemical protection gear. AND: all nations that count can spew out chemical agents, too. Tactical atomic warfare was proven to be a total dud at Chernobyl. Yes, Chernobyl proved to the Soviet Army that their previous lust for atomic warfare was totally misplaced. The USSR is DOWNWIND of Western Europe. Every %$## bit of radioactivity released over Europe would be forever drifting back to Moscow -- not the Atlantic Ocean. The reverse was not true. Nuclides released over the USSR would also blow to Mother Russia -- no different than what actually happened with Chernobyl.

  11. What's happening is crawl-krieg -- blitzkrieg -- 'tis to dream. Putin is not holding back. Time is not on his side. The Russian Army moves like a sloth because it's the best it can do. It's critically short on infantry.
