This is a drug that is easily counter-acted if you know that you've received a dose -- but otherwise leaves absolutely no indication that you've been dosed. Beria knew that Stalin was initiating another massive purge of the NKVD/KGB, Party and Red Army. ALL of Beria's NKVD had been murdered by Stalin -- so he had to take vice-executive action. Consequently, Stalin bled to death, with Beria telling his guards to "Let the boss sleep." Heh.
