  1. The young kids with computer models failed to realize that most markets have FRICTION... quite unlike Wall Street instruments. So, they over-paid on the way up -- and now are sure to take a beating on the way down. They overlooked what Soros has termed:: reflexivity. This kicks in BIG when the player is a whale who is moving the market index. One example from history -- the market crash of 1987. The Bright Boys failed to comprehend that no-one stood behind their 'insurance' algorithm... just traders... with no equity.
