  1. Atomic power is really outside the issue. Red China and India are OUTSIDE all conventions against coal burning. Red China is ALREADY burning more coal that the rest of the planet. Yup. And the tempo is still ramping up. India is chasing straight after Red China. Both nations have IMMENSE coal fields -- as large as those of the USA. So it simply does NOT matter WHAT Europe and America do WRT carbon emissions. BTW, electric cars// batteries do not perform well in deep cold or very high heat. EV are only practical in comparatively mild climates. So it's no wonder that they are taking off in California, all tropical islands, and zones of very short commutes. They can NEVER displace IC technology in Siberia, Canada, ... and Saudi Arabia.
