@ericvosselmans5657 It's impossible to enter NATO unless every existing NATO member okays the entry. France and Germany ALWAYS vetoed Ukraine's membership. No nation can enter NATO with an open border dispute. Putin made sure that both Georgia and Ukraine did have just such disputes. Estonia only entered NATO because Moscow okayed its entry. Yup. Down the road, think years and years, Kiev, Minsk and Moscow will all want NATO membership -- because Red China is the real threat.

@maryhuckaby2239 NATO was not involved in Iraq. 9-11 caused the US to invoke Article Five. The bread crumbs led straight to Kabul. The US asked the Taliban to surrender bin Laden. They said, "No, he's our buddy." Then came the American response. Kaddaffy attacked France and Britain... financially. He was about to bankrupt British Petroleum and over turn a deal made directly between himself and London. London declared war. He was about to bankrupt Paris. (It's banks had lent large.) Paris declared war. Then, via Article Five, America was brought in to save its NATO partners. Kaddaffy was toast. Strictly speaking, Yugoslavia was not a NATO operation. It was driven by UN sanctions. Iraq was not a NATO operation. It was driven by UN sanctions. So, Mary, you have your answers.

@brandonmeuleman5279 The KGB/FSB has a playbook. One gambit is to stand up straw enemies -- so that they can be burned down to suit. There are so-called neo-Nazi movements all over the West. Moscow is funding all of them. Most of the players are dupes -- idiots, really. But, at or near the top, you'll run into KGB/FSB players pretending to be neo-Nazis. The FBI penetrated the KKK the exact same way. Likewise the FBI has been exposed -- over and over and over -- for being behind anti-government cliques. Without FBI support, most jihadis wouldn't know how to phone home. This dynamic was learned from the Bolsheviks -- who learned it from the Tsar's secret police. Say, did you know that Stalin -- as a young man and young bank robber was working for the Tsar? Yup. You can see why Stalin couldn't trust ANYBODY. He saw himself in everybody around him.
