  4. I am sure they are well aware, but they don’t want attention drawn to the fact that he was a criminal. They need the world to see him as an innocent, model citizen, that the cops just decided to shoot for no reason. That is where their enormous payout will come from.

  6. Yes, we need to teach people that there are consequences to their actions, and they can’t have the attitude that they can do whatever they want. Laws are created for a reason, and you are taking chances when you break them.
