Comments by "Logik" (@philonetic321) on "US could run out of diesel fuel very soon, then what? Energy supplier responds" video.
Ok so, let's not be like the other guys. The TRUTH about this is that we stopped distilling diesel so stockpiles are being used. We are not "running out" of diesel.

We aren't "running out of diesel". We just stopped distilling it for awhile. BIG difference. Terminology exists. "Inventories of diesel and gasoline are down below five-year averages, and if the entire world were to stop, we would have 25 days worth of diesel. But the world doesn't stop. We're not counting on it stopping," Ed Hirs, Professor of Energy Economics at the University of Houston. 25.9 days of diesel is not the end of the world. It's usually 33 days. Yay, perspective.

@ronfox5519 There are many reasons why. Diesel isn't the only thing being slowed. Helium, even grass seed. Like Arden 15 grass seed, discontinued due to labor shortages. It's one of the most popular seeds used for golf courses and southern lawns, just poof, discontinued. I'm just glad that somebody is asking questions instead of repeating the headlines. Good on ya.

@ruadhrose You're right. It's not rocket science, little girl. It's economics. We aren't "running out of diesel". We just stopped distilling it for awhile. BIG difference. Terminology exists.

@ruadhrose This may help you; "Inventories of diesel and gasoline are down below five-year averages, and if the entire world were to stop, we would have 25 days worth of diesel. But the world doesn't stop. We're not counting on it stopping," Ed Hirs, Professor of Energy Economics at the University of Houston. 25.9 days of diesel is not the end of the world. It's usually 33 days. Get some perspective.
