The family that stole $30b and almost started a civil war are somehow still in power...

@Uthando-h1q How is the US involved?
2
@crazychinese7315 No, he didn't. Are you on something?
2
I lived in Chiang Mai during the coup. The red shirts virtually decapitated my neighbor as part of their campaign of violence and intimidation. The yellow shirts sat down.
2
Were you around during the coup? Red shirts and yellow shirts?
1
@aliceyt4778 I'm afraid not. The red shirts used violence and intimidation. That's not peaceful. Yellow shirts sat down. Yellow shirts didn't cut off my neighbors head, that was red shirts. Yellow shirts didn't shoot at police and military. Yellow shirts weren't setting fires. The "Democracy" only happened when a corrupt prime minister was kicked out and his money frozen. His friends with money set the country on fire. You have been fooled.
1
@aliceyt4778 They are trying it in USA too. The last 3 presidents called it a "democracy". The USA is not a democracy. "Democracy" is tyranny of the mob. We are a Republic, with democratically elected representation. They are not leaders, they represent the people.
1
The military was trying to save the country. "Democracy", what a joke. They are pure corruption who have been stealing the profits of the Thai people and farmers for decades, and now you welcome them with open arms. They will trade away all of your resources. They will steal your farmland. Just like Thaksin. Thai people are about to lose their identity. They wanted your agriculture and now they have it all.
1
The Baht was purposely devalued in the 90's by The Quantum Fund for this exact scenario. The same people funding the "red shirts" are the same banks which prevented the Baht from rising in the world market. Soon, they'll be the same banks putting the marketable futures of Thai agriculture and housing on the global market and profiting from it while they steal the future gained interest from the currency.
1
The coup started in 2006 because of corruption in the ministry. Thaksin stole more than $30b USD. They froze his accounts and then his rich friends funded the red shirts, shot police, set the streets on fire, intimidated and killed people. They used violence and intimidation while the yellow shirts jut sat down. It wasn't yellow shirts setting the streets on fire.

@spy_balloon How do you think the US is involved?
1
@crazychinese7315 Oh? How much did Ukraine pay?
1
@crazychinese7315 I know that you don't understand the surcharge on IMF loans or how the geo-economic dynamic works in the slightest, but The USA is trying to get the IMF to relax the surcharge for Ukraine. Considering that IMF SDR's largest component is the US dollar, the Senate is effectively asking the IMF to pay the USA less, by decreasing their loan interest paid to the IMF. Google those keywords for a few hours till you start to understand something more than anecdotes.
1
@SeintDirk Russia will do whatever Syria wants, mostly. Syria is Russia's last direct access into the Mediterranean. Most of the answers are on the map.
1
@mcrand7887 Oh, you take anecdotes at face value and live outside of fact. That's ok, allow me to help. For example, look at the GDP of any NATO member and compare it to those countries which deal with China, like Venezuela. Now look at the GDP of Afghanistan over US occupation. Afghanistan got more than 2x the roads, infrastructure, farms, schools, businesses, so much more. We spent $3.6 trillion to fix that country. It's better to be invaded by the USA than to be an ally of China lol. What about Ukraine? Do you have a point?
1
@SeintDirk Stalin started killing the kulaks, other farmers, businessmen, dissidents and others. The rest of the farmers start to flee. The country went into severe famine.
1
@SeintDirk "Progressive" and "Democracy" are now just words for "state owned". "Democracy" in the USA is turning into socialism. "Democracy" is tyranny of the mob, just like what the red shirts did. It's always violent. Democracy tramples on law.
1
@SeintDirk What? No lol. Over 12 million died under Stalin because he killed farmers.
1
@SeintDirk You're not very good with English, are you?
1
@SeintDirk You need a better translator.
1
@SeintDirk Who cares? I'm saying that you need a better translator. You aren't understanding me. Run the comments through something else.

@@johngrey9780 Thai people are about to lose rights to their own land. The marketable futures are going on the global market. They are about to take the country for everything it's worth.
1
This must be a joke. Thaksin stole over $30 billion.
1
@oddjonsson2815 Several? Not sure what you're on about. It was once. Thaksin stole over $30 billion. That's not a "disagreement".
1
@oddjonsson2815 Not campaign money. Thaksin had out of country accounts with over $30b USD of the country's money. The ministry had fallen to foreign financial influence.
1
@oddjonsson2815 TRT and the Democrats are the same. They used and killed Thai people to gain power. I never saw a violent yellow shirt. Martial law and a curfew were a small price to pay.
1
Myanmar is controlled by China, that's different. The only dictator I saw was stopped by the military. Thaksin stole over $30b USD, they froze his money, then his rich friends funded the red shirts "democracy" and set the country on fire, while the yellow shirts just sat down.
1
@bubshab You mean they removed a corrupt prime minister who had stolen over $30 billion from the people.
1
@dannyberry3211 You seem like a real Thai person. How do they not know what they are doing? The Thaksin family is pure corruption.
1
@pasaboon Where is the US connection?
1
@pasaboon Will look. You might have to link it, if you can.
